a warm body
something to drape over the chair
and curl up beside

for company
a body to be omnipresent
and eyes to watch
with no lips to speak
simply to observe
somebody must

in the corner
or perhaps just
to follow me
and breathe in my hair
and live on my imagination
alone

to feel less lonely

my television
and it needn't utter back to me
just watch and listen
